Publication Ethics

Journal of Information Systems in Business: Commitment to Ethical Standards
The Journal of Information Systems in Business is dedicated to preventing research misconduct and upholding ethical standards in academic publishing. Below are the responsibilities of all parties involved in the review process:

Duties of Editors
1) Editors evaluate all submissions impartially, adhering to academic principles, ensuring a fair and timely peer review process.
2) They select reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject matter of the submitted papers.
3) Editors review disclosures of potential conflicts of interest and self-citation suggestions from reviewers to assess any potential bias.
4) Confidentiality of all submitted materials and communications with reviewers must be maintained, unless agreed otherwise by the relevant parties.
5) Editors are responsible for preserving the integrity of the published record by investigating any reported or suspected misconduct.

Duties of Authors
1) Authors must confirm that their submitted manuscripts are original, not previously published, and not currently under review by other journals. Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals is considered self-plagiarism and will result in withdrawal.
2) Any form of plagiarism is unacceptable. All sources must be properly cited and acknowledged, with complete and accurate references provided at the end of the article. Citations should adhere to the formatting guidelines established by the editorial board.
3) Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and any financial support in the acknowledgments section.
4) The research reported in submitted manuscripts must comply with ethical standards.
5) Opinions expressed in articles are solely those of the authors and do not reflect the views of the editorial board or Thammasat Business School, Thammasat University.
6) Upon acceptance of an article for publication, authors must verify the accuracy of the article’s format and content during the final revision process before it is published online and in print.
7) Authors are required to acknowledge and agree to the publication terms and policies of the Journal of Information Systems in Business.

Duties of Reviewers
1) Reviews must be conducted fairly and objectively.
2) Reviewers should not seek personal gain from the review process.
3) They must possess adequate knowledge and understanding of the submission to provide an informed review.
4) Reviewers must keep all review process information confidential.
5) Any instances of plagiarism or misconduct (e.g., data fabrication, falsification) should be reported to the editors.
